Ashley Elizabeth Murphy is a NOAA CCME Graduate Alumni. She completed a M.S. in Oceans, Coastal, and Earth Sciences at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Elizabeth conducted research in the area of coastal and plant conservation under the supervision of Dr. Carlos Cintra.
Her NOAA NERTO mentor is Joe Serafy from NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service/Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC) in Miami, FL. where she completed her NERTO internship from January 21,2019 until April 2019. Her NERTO project title is "Fish assemblages of Biscayne Bay mangroves – Analysis of long-term monitoring data using a multivariate approach".
In November of 2020, she has been offered a position as a Biological Scientist IV with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
