Miranda White is a NOAA-CCME graduate scholar completing an M.S. in Integrated Environmental Science at Bethune-Cookman University. She was a NOAA CCME undergraduate scholar at Bethune-Cookman University and completed her B.S. in Integrated Environmental Science in the Spring of 2020.
Miranda has conducted research dealing with place-based conservation and coastal resilience of sensitive habitats in Florida. Some of these projects include the construction of a treatment wetland to reduce nutrient loading from stormwater runoff into coastal waters in South Daytona and implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of native vegetation buffers at controlling nonpoint source pollution in the Mosquito Lagoon under the supervision of Dr. Hyun Cho.
