Queriah Simpson is a NOAA CCME Graduate Scholar completing a Master’s in Marine and Estuarine Environments at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida. Queriah is interested in conducting research on the coral reef microbiome and coral reef resilience with Dr. Abazinge as her faculty advisor. After an internship at Thomas P. Smith Water Reclamation Facility in 2015 as an undergraduate student, she has been interested in microbes and their role in the remediation of polluted systems.
