Maggie Seida is an undergraduate at Cal State Monterey Bay in Marine Science. Maggie has dived into the marine science field through work in the Ecosystem Electronics Lab, using ROVs to capture video to create 3D models of seafloor features. The aim is to create a more interactive data visualization technique that can be understood and appreciated by the general public. Maggie is also developing skills in underwater photogrammetry while continuing to work with Innoceana to create 3D, georeferenced models of seagrass beds and coral reefs. These models will be presented in schools and used to inform environmental policy and plan a long-term restoration project of the ecosystem.
