Shirlay Alexander is a NOAA CCME Undergraduate Scholar completing a B.S. in Biology at Jackson State University. Shirlay is interested in pursuing a career in biomedical sciences. and is currently conducting research dealing with the temporal dynamics of macroinvertebrate communities associated with sand beach and seagrass habitats of the northern Gulf of Mexico. The research is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Brent Thoma.
