Summer Martinez

Summer Martinez is a NOAA CCME graduate scholar completing an M.S. in Biology at Florida A&M University. She was a NOAA CCME undergraduate scholar at Florida A&M University who completed her B.S. in Biology in Fall of 2019.

Summer is currently conducting research on bioremediation of oil spills using oyster mushrooms as well as using laser induced breakdown spectroscopy to study heavy metal accumulation by duckweeds under the supervision of Dr. Richard Long.
