Dr. Viniece Jennings

Dr. Viniece Jennings

Dr. Viniece Jennings serves as the Deputy Director for CCME-II. She is nationally recognized for her research on urban green spaces and public health. Her research includes areas such as urban ecology, environmental justice, ecosystem services and public health. She is a JPB Environmental Health fellow at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University. She previously served as an Assistant Professor at Agnes Scott College where she was nominated for the Vulcan Teaching Award and research scientist at the USDA. Prior to her role at the USDA, she interned at the White House Council on Environmental Quality for the Obama Administration. She earned her doctorate in environmental science from Florida A&M University and bachelor's in natural resources/environmental science from Delaware State University.
